Description
Medical Advisers use their clinical expertise to carry out medical examinations and provide medical advice on people who claim various types of benefit. They forward their reports to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) where decisions on benefit entitlement are made. Examinations are performed in one of our 150 Medical Services Examination Centres nation-wide or in the claimant’s home. Full training is given to allow our Medical Advisers to become specialists in the field of Disability Assessment. Some doctors may wish to progress to obtaining the Diploma of Disability Assessment Medicine (DDAM), approved by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
