Description

PULSE have exciting opportunities for Band 6 Theatre Scrub and Anaesthetic staff based in a London Teaching Hospital.

The hospital is world renowned as a centre of excellence in its field, and we are looking to expand the theatres team with experienced theatre professionals.

The current vacancies are for Scrub Nurses and ODP's/Anaesthetic Nurses at Band 6 level.

In order to assume a band 6 position, you should be able to demonstrate the required skills as set out in Agenda for Change, as your application will be assessed against this. For those who are already with the NHS in a band 6 position, you will simply transfer across.

For those currently in the private sector, you should be in a senior staff nurse position, ideally with a leadership or mentorship course completed (preferably the ENB 998), however experience is also essential to take on a band 6 NHS position, therefore experienced candidates who do not have a teaching course can be considered.

For scrub staff, you must be prepared to undergo continuous professional development and willing to scrub for sometimes complex and ground breaking surgery. A special interest in Orthopaedics is extremely advantageous. NMC registration is also essential.

For Anaesthetic staff, again an interest in orthopaedics is essential, also HPC/NMC registration is a must.

Given this is a band 6 position, you should have a minimum of 2 years experience in a theatre environment, and ideally at least 1 year in a supervisory/managerial role.

Salaries range from £26,976.70 to £35,824 inclusive.

This is truly an exciting opportunity to join one of London's most forward thinking and innovative trusts, and a chance to further your career in a world class hospital.

There are both permanent, full time positions available, as well as contract positions (open ended, minimum 6 months).

If you wish to be considered for this post, please email your CV to gary.tatham@pulsestaffing.co.uk or call 0207 959 1163.
