Pulse International is looking for a Nurse Manager for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of an exciting new healthcare project in Qatar.
Scheduled to open in 2013, the Sidra Medical and Research centre will offer the latest technology and equipment to meet world-class standards in patient care, medical education and biomedical research. There will be a sophisticated clinical and translational research programme, general adult medical and surgical services and specialty care for women and children. The centre will be a teaching venue for medical students at Weill Cornell Medical College - a branch of the prestigious Ivy League university in New York.
The Nurse Manager of the 24-bed Paediatric Intensive Care Unit will play a major role in the implementation of the Sidra vision of family-centred care. As the project nears completion the role will change and after the centre opens the successful candidate will take on a senior operational role.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree in Nursing and 3 years management experience in Paediatric Intensive Care.
Experience in international accreditation, such as Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) would be an advantage.
