Job Description
Microbiological Development Scientist - Commutable from Central London, Guildford, Southampton, Reading and surrounding areas - c£25K per annum
Our client is a world leader in providing in scientific services. An opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Microbiologist to join the Development Laboratory on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The role of Microbiological Development Scientist is responsible for the development of new products and supporting & improving existing culture media. The role is primarily laboratory based but also involved effective recording and analysis of laboratory data.
Suitable applicants must have:
- Previous industry experience within a Microbiological analysis role.
- Previous experience working with the development of microbiological media (preferably Antibiotic Sensitivity Testing)
- Experienced with Microbiological and Analytical laboratory techniques including HPLC.
- Knowledge of CAPA investigations and related documentation
- Degree level qualification in Chemistry or Microbiological discipline
- Industry experience with preparation of media plates, plate streaking and antibiotic testing.
- Good organisation and communication skills
In return, my client offers an annual salary of c£25,000 dependant upon experience. Additional benefits include; Private medical, Contributory pension, 35-hour working week.
