Job Description
PULSE Staffing has an opportunity available in London for a Band 8a Prescribing Advisor.
Main duties of the role will include supporting the development of high quality, safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines in collaboration with all other stakeholders in the local health economy.
To contribute to the development and implementation of the Medicines Management Strategy for the Trust in line with national and local policy.
To deliver a competent and efficient advisory service to GP practices and non-medical prescribers with the Trust, relating to prescribing, pharmacy, therapeutics and medicines management overall.
To work in collaboration with the Deputy Head of Medicines Management, supporting the development of community pharmacy services.
To support the performance management of prescribing and community pharmacy services.
This is a long-term assignment, available immediately to cover full-time hours. Excellent rates payable.
All applicants must be GPhC registered and have previous experience in a Primary Care setting.
All applicants should be flexible, have excellent communication skills and recent UK Hospital/PCT experience.
