Our client, in the nation’s capital city, is looking for experienced cancer nurses to take on a unit manager and Registered Nurse role, starting Feb 2012
This is your opportunity to work at a leading private hospital in The Australia's Capital city Canberra. It is co-located with a public hospital allowing for tertiary referral services.
Our client’s clinical specialities complement those of their co-located partner and include a new cardio-thoracic service, acute medical/surgical wards, Critical care, specialist medical services, oncology and angiography.
We are now seeking nurses with experience in cancer care to join our client’s oncology programme. As the unit manager, you will be expected to help run the department and have experience in budgeting, staffing, be up to date clinically and with professional standards management. You will lead the team by example, and be comfortable liaising regularly with all levels of the Multi-Disciplinary team. As a Registered Nurse You will and peri operative/scrub nursing to help lead the clinical periop team. The theatre department offers great ongoing support and development, a comprehensive orientation programme and will offer a well paid level 3 specialist position for the right applicant.

What are we looking for?
• Eligibility or registration with Australia’s Nursing Board AHPRA
• As a manager; 5 years minimum post registration experience in acute cancer care, and the confidence/demonstrated ability to lead a team
• As a Registered Nurse; 3 year minimum post registration experience in acute cancer care
• Post graduate qualifications (desirable)
• Candidates must be Chemo Competent
• Candidates must also be comfortable being referenced through their current Manager and another senior nursing colleague.
