Job Description
Support Workers workers required for a number of exciting and rewarding temporary positions in the West London area. Work is available in the Community within Supported Housing and Residential Homes.
Role and Responsibilities:
.Supporting the Manager in their day to day responsibilities for the organisation
.Assist in providing high quality care and support to individuals with lerning disabilities, challenging behaviour, mental health problems and autism.
.Assist the Manager to ensure a high quality service is being provided
.To develop, update and review support plans and risk assessments
.Regular communication with Community support services
.Where appropriate, involve the service user, their family and friends in decision making regarding their care
.Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
Essential Skills:
.Sound knowledge of the rights and needs of vulnerable people
.Knowledge and experience of service user involvement
.Knowledge and range of support services available
.Previous experience of working within a supported housing environment
.Knowledge of welfare benefit system
.Professional
.Reliable
. Minimum 2 years Support Worker experience
. NVQ level 2 or 3 qualification essential
