Highly Specilised Cardiac Physiologist

Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist to cover maternity leave for 12 months. They will be based in Cardiac Investigations Department. The department operates an 8.00am to 6.00pm day, with the physiologists working a set 4 day a week rota.

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated physiologists who are keen to support our service during a staffing shortfall due to maternity leave within the NHS.

The centre has a well established invasive and non invasive service covering a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Cardiac angiography, cardiac intervention, (including the Black Country Primary PCI service), device implants, device follow-ups, EP and echocardiography, including TOE, contract/bubble and DSE. All these areas are advancing and developing rapidly with new technology; one of those recent developments includes the TAVI service. The department is also involved in research in all clinical areas.

The successful applicants will take part in training and development of junior staff as our department which is dedicated to training new and established staff.

The successful candidates should have BSC Clinical Physiology or equivalent plus HRUK and/or
BSE accreditation
