Position - Scrub Nurse
Hours - Full Time
Location - Southampton
Salary - dependant upon experience

My client is a NHS Treatment Centre based in Southampton, and is a state of the art facility and provides high quality specialist treatments in 9 specialties for the people of Hampshire, including Southampton and surrounding areas. We deal with many common health needs such as hip and knee replacements, hernia repairs, gall bladder surgery, gynaecological problems and cataracts. The Treatment Centre only treats NHS patients and has an impressive track record in patient satisfaction, low infection rates and clinical success.

They are looking to employ a Scrub Nurse (Multi-Skilled)) to work under the Team Leader to provide peri-operative care appropriate to the individual surgical needs of the patient.

The successful candidate will:

Be RN/ODP registered with NMC/HPC
Be responsible for accounting of all disposable and non-disposable instrumentation used for clinical procedures
Ensure the safe positioning and transfer of patients within the department
Provide leadership for junior members of the team in the absence of a team leader
Ensure the work area is cleaned and prepared in accordance with infection control policy
Participate in an on-call roster
Attend any necessary training events
