Job Description
Laboratory Analyst - Asbestos
My client is a leading environmental testing company with a busy Asbestos Laboratory.
They are looking to recruit an analyst with asbestos experience; the main duties will include the analysis of bulk materials and soils for the presence of asbestos in accordance with HSE publication HSG 248 'Asbestos: The analyst's guide for sampling, analysis and clearance procedures'.
The right candidate will be comfortable with completion of workload within a given timeframe of samples delivered to the laboratory; booking in of samples and completion of worksheets and asbestos bulk reports from the companies internal systems. There is expectation to participate in internal and external quality schemes for the identification of asbestos in materials.
The successful candidate must hold the BOHS P401 in asbestos identification.
The company has varying working hours, with overtime and a competitive salary: wage depending upon experience.
