PULSE is a market leading Health and Social Care Agency. We are currently recruiting Project Workers with mental health,forensics and substance misuse experience
We currently have a number of exciting and rewarding work opportunities within the London area.
You will be working with service users who suffer from mild -severe mental health issues who were/are rough sleeping, homeless, ex offenders, sex workers and face daily issues of drug and alcohol misuse.
You must be flexible, and willing to travel between zones 1- 6, shift times differ according to each client. We offer early's, lates, sleep in’s, many ASAP shifts and occasional nights.
Duties will include:
-Visual presence throughout the shift and offering support to service users
- CCTV checks
- Recording time spent and duties covered on each visit
- Recording of relevant observations in log book daily
- Provide detailed handovers at the end of each shift
- Be active in the prevention of crime on the premises
- Increase client involvement in training, education, employment and other meaningful use of time
-Work with external providers to develop training education, employment & client involvement and to make client led referrals to these external providers
-You will need to have extensive knowledge of the UK benefits system
- Support in accessing information, i.e benefit system, crisis loans, GP’s etc
- Assisting service users while completing forms
- Completing risk assessments
- Environmental Safety checks
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current CRB
- NVQ II Health & Social Care or equivalent (must have completed or studying towards one)
- Care work experience at least 6 months in the last 12 months - must be in the UK
- Five years of professional references
- Full time availability
- Must have at least 6 months remaining on any type of VISA
Extensive experience of working with ex offenders, rough sleepers, drug and alcohol misuse & mental health is essential.
