PULSE Staffing are currently seeking a Registered Nurse with A&E experience to work in the busy Emergency Department at the Broken Hill Hospital. The contract is for 3 months and commencing immediately.
Broken Hill Base Hospital and Health Service has 80 beds and offers the following services, Community Health, Coronary care, A&E, Geriatric- Aged care, Home care, Hospice, Intensive care, Medical, Mental Health, Anaesthetics, Outpatients, Occupational therapy, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Palliative care, Pathology, Physiotherapy, Psychiatric, Radiology, Rehabilitation, Speech therapy, Surgical, Birthing centre and Maternity.
Broken Hill known as the Silver City, was built on the world’s largest silver, lead and zinc mine. These days, Broken Hill offers much more than mining tours and museums. Just outside the city, this special slice of outback comes alive with its distinctive, clear light and expansive vistas, which have inspired and continue to inspire hundreds of artists and photographers. Look out for top-class art galleries that include collections by the Bushmen of the Bush, don’t miss out on a sunset stroll around the Living Desert Sculptures, visit the outback landscape artwork at the City Art Gallery, or the eclectic Pro Hart Gallery or the Big Picture, which is the world’s largest acrylic painting on canvas, at Silver City Mint and Art Centre.
Broken Hill (Silverton) is also the setting of several Australian movies (Mad Max and Priscilla Queen of the Desert). While having a drink or two at the Silverton pub take part in the ‘secret’ challenge that raises money for the Royal Flying Doctors or stop by the Menindee pub, a friendly but quirky place that is a popular artist spot, while there you can marvel at the contrast between the lakes and the surrounding desert- a real oasis.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
* Registered Nurses with A&E experience
* Current registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board or ability to acquire same under the Mutual Recognition Act.
* Appropriate visa to work in Australia
We have a number of contracts on offer for Midwives and Nurses with an acute background in remote and rural outback locations starting immediately.
