Pulse Staffing are currently seeking a Registered Nurse with A&E/ Acute and Aged Care experience for a 12 week contract commencing immediately at Coolah Hospital
Coolah Multi-purpose facility, well known for its very friendly and supporting staff has 27 beds which includes 7 Acute beds, 20 Residential Aged Care, made up of 10 high care and 10 low care (hostel) beds. The hostel is off site & is staffed by Hospital Assistants and has an onsite Hostel Supervisor. The Emergency Department has 2 A&E beds and like many small towns, the needs of the patients may vary from critical to non urgent. The RN needs to be able to adapt between emergency, acute and aged care. The RN will be responsible for triage & will require previous experience and ideally be ALS certified.
The town of Coolah has one GP who also has VMO rites. The Doctor is not on call 24 hrs and day. During the VMO’s absence critical emergencies are managed via the use of the critical care camera and phone. The NSW ambulance is co-located and can be called to assist in emergency situations.
Accommodation is free and Coolah has 2 very recently constructed self contained units, which will accommodate 2 very comfortably, should your partner be accompanying you. The main staff quarters which was renovated last year, has reverse cycle air-conditioning and consist of one semi- self contained flat, plus 5 single bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, with shared laundry, lounge and kitchen.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
* Registered Nurses with Acute experience.
* Current registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board or ability to acquire same under the Mutual Recognition Act.
* Appropriate visa to work in Australia
