Theatre Practitioner - Scrub
Independent Hospital (Lancashire)
Scrub Practitioner - Lancashire
Full Time - 37.5 hours
Salary negotiable - (depending on experience)
Pulse is proud to be working in partnership with a leading provider of independent health care, who have hospitals and clinics based nationally.
Reporting to the Senior Registered Practitioner you will be responsible for providing quality planned care for patients during their peri operative phase of care and support as assist in the management and organisation and of care provision within the Operating department
Key Accountabilities:
· Assemble check and prepare the appropriate surgical equipment, instruments and consumable for a wide range of operative procedures
· Ability to co-ordinate the use of the supplied and additional equipment during and operating list
· Conduct mandatory patients checks and surgical checks
· Monitor the patients condition throughout the procedure, taking appropriate action to manage any arising complications
· Communicate effectively with other involved in the patients care
· Administer any drugs or fluids necessary
Essential skills / experience:
· Registered practitioner with NMC or HPC registration
· Good interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to work as part of a team
