PULSE are currently working with a very well established Mental Health Hospital, offering a high standard of care for Adolescents. The Client is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Unit Manager.

The overall objective is to manage and lead the Nursing Team on the unit, which accepts 24-hour emergency admissions. To provide support and leadership to staff and establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities are as follows:

- Coaching, mentorship and development of the team

- Recruitment of staff

- Maintain budgetary control and P&L

- Effective relationships with residents, their families and the community

- Report writing

- Deliver optimum operational efficiency

- Manage HR policies

- Management of training

- Responsible for infection control

- Ensure compliance with CSCI

- Control the ordering and administration of drugs

The successful applicant will have commercial awareness, strong leadership skills, negotiating and influencing skills and be flexible and resilient.

Candidates applying for the post must be an RMN, with experience caring with adolescents in a secure unit. Driving licence and access to a car is essential due to rural location.
