Job Description
PULSE Scientific are pleased to be representing a leading Pharmaceutical Services company that has a site in the London area. Due to increased demand for their services, they now have a requirement for a Biomedical Scientist to join their busy and diverse team.
The successful candidate will be a State-Registered Biomedical Scientist who is ready for a new challenge. The post offers exciting career development and an opportunity to join a well knit, multi-skilled team in a newly refurbished, CPA accredited, multi-disciplined, pathology laboratory.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing procedures required to support clinical trials. If you are a good team player with ability to multi-task and work under pressure, we would like to hear from you.
Flexibility over working hours is essential - you will be expected to work some nights on rotation and some weekends (additional shift allowance paid).
EDUCATION, BACKGROUND & SKILLS
In order to be considered for this role, applicants MUST hold a BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or equivalent AND previous experience of working as a Biomedical Scientist in a multi-disciplinary laboratory. You must successfully complete GCP within 6 months of starting the role and have the following:
· Knowledge of CPA standards
· Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), a higher qualification in a specialty of laboratory science will be an advantage.
· Experience with automated analytical systems in Biochemistry, haematology and Coagulation
· Understanding of Quality Assurance in Pathology Laboratory
