Job Description
Senior/Project Workers
PULSE are one of the market leading health and social care agencies supplying to housing associations. We are currently recruiting Project Workers with mental health experience in the following locations:
- London / Greater London
You will be working with service users whom suffer from mild -severe mental health issues who were/are rough sleeping, homeless, ex offenders, sex workers and face daily issues of drug and alcohol misuse.
You must be flexible, and willing to travel between zones 1- 6, shift times differ according to each client. We offer early's, lates, long days, sleep in’s, ASAP shifts and occasional nights.
Rates starting from £8.00/hr
Duties will include:
· Visual presence throughout the shift and must be able to support service users
· CCTV checks
· Recording time spent and duties covered on each visit
· Recording of relevant observations in log book daily
· Provide detailed handovers at the end of each shift
· Be active on the prevention of crime on the premises i.e drug dealing, fighting, etc
· Increase client involvement in training, education, employment and other
meaningful use of time
· Work with external providers to develop training education, employment & client
involvement and to make client led referrals to these external providers.
· You will have extensive knowledge of the UK benefits system
· Support in accessing information, i.e benefit system, crisis loan’s, GP’s etc
· Assisting services uses while completing forms
· Completing risk assessments
· Safety checks.i.e. of the building front & back, communal area’s, CCTV and daily
room checks
· Check all areas for drug paraphernalia/ unaccompanied guests/ anti social behaviour
REQUIRMENTS:
- Current CRB
- NVQ II Health & Social Care or equivalent (must have completed or studying towards one)
- Care work experience at least 6 months in the last 12 months - must be in the UK
- Five years of professional references
- Full time availability
- Must have at least 6 months remaining on any type of VISA
Current CRB and extensive experience of working with ex offenders, rough sleepers, drug and alcohol misuse & mental health experience is essential.
