Specialist GP registration is granted to GP’s with qualifications equivalent to the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). UK trained GP’s with such equivalent qualifications must be a Members of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and have 2-3 years UK based GP experience. An English Language test will also have to be taken before medical registration is obtained.

Salaries vary according to experience and the availability of VMO work but you can expect remuneration in the region of $250,000 to $400,000.
