Nickel Coating Technologist – Oxfordshire - £20,000-25,000 per annum
Our client specialises in providing resistance coating for metals sued in the oil & gas, aerospace and engineering industries.
An opening has now become available for a Technologist to join their team to support with Pre-treatment nickel coating.
Principle responsibilities include
- General operation of the pre-treatment process inc. plating, chemical etching and chemical stripping.
- Maintenance of chemical baths.
- Ensuring processes meet quality standards and compliance of equipment safety.
- Handling of acid, caustics and corrosive fluids
Suitable applicants must have experience with:
- Electroplating of metals or surface coating of metal manufacturing process.
- Experience with surface treatment of stainless steel and similar alloys
- Industry experience with equipment maintenance and working to industry quality standard.
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in Chemistry
- Course in acid & caustic chemical handling (Desirable)
- Management/supervisory experience (Desirable)
In return, our client offers an opportunity to join the company on a permanent basis with an annual salary of £20,000-£25,000 dependant upon experience level.
