PULSE Scientific are pleased to be representing a leading scientific instrumentation company that has a site in the Cambridge area. Due to increased demand for their services, they now have a requirement for a Microbiology Applications Specialist to join their busy and diverse team.

Our Client produces equipment for microbiologists to automate microbial colony counting. They are a leader in the field of colony counting for microbiology and for zone measurements in the field of vaccine testing.

We are looking for an applications specialist who has a good understanding (both practical and theoretical) of microbiology applications for colony counting, SRD plates and AST.

Responsibilities include:

· Providing applications support for customers and dealers and the ability to present the products at exhibitions and customer sites. This will include international visits from time to time.
· The ability to present papers and technical reports at meetings and conferences is also required.
· The role will also include the opportunity of working with the R&D group and developing products for the future.
· The position would ideally suit somebody at PhD level who has spent time in the laboratory industry in a research role and who maybe has some commercial experience.
