Description

We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to work on various assignments across London (mainly SE/SW London). (This includes ad-hoc/locum, short-term or ongoing positions). Days & Nights shifts available.

We would like to hear from Supports Workers who have experience working within residential, supported housing, community/floating support or day services for people with Learning Disabilities & Mental Health.

Main duties:

· Compiling and regularly reviewing care/support plans and conduct one-to-one sessions & key working.

· To support and encourage service users to become independent.

· Personal care.

· Escort service users within the community (i.e. contact with local day centres, adult education, leisure services etc).

· Record information about service users and ensure effective communication with all staff members.

Requirements:

· Minimum of 12 months experience working with people with Learning Disabilities/Mental Health.

· Must have NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or working towards it

· Hold up-to-date Mandatory training qualifications (certificates) - Health & Safety, Fire Safety, First Aid, Infection Control, Basic Life Support, Medication Awareness.

· Be able to work alone without being supervised

· Must be flexible and willing to travel
