Description
PULSE Scientific are pleased to be representing a rapidly expanding biomanufacturing company that has a site in the Cambridge area. Due to increased demand for their services, they now have a requirement for a Director of Process Development to join their busy and diverse team.
Responsibilities include:
·Direct the Process Development Department to develop and implement improvements to customer?'s processes, scale-up existing and new methods, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes.
·Controls significant development projects and maintains authority over budget and scheduling for the development aspect of the projects
·Oversees the hiring, development, retention and optimal performance of staff for the leadership and execution of process development operations
CREDENTIALS and EXPERIENCE
·Degree in biotechnology or other life sciences degree and ten years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
·A knowledge and experience of Good Manufacturing Practice for biologics
·Broad experience in development of biological (preferred) or pharmaceutical production processes
·Experience with fermentation (especially mammalian) and multiple methods of purification, including centrifugation, filtration, ultra filtration, column chromatography and virus removal/reduction
