Description
Our client is looking to employ a locum Child Clinical Psychologist at Band 7 or Band 8a for a period of three months initially (possibly longer) to work in a child and adolescent mental health service. The service is a Child and Family Consultation Service in East London.
The postholder would be based with the CAMHS Learning Disabilities / Autistic Spectrum Disorder Team.
The LD/ASD Team provides a range of innovative approaches such as parenting groups, family therapy, behaviour management, neuropsychological assessments, medication and social skills for this client group. The psychologist would provide a specialised mental health assessment and treatment service to young people with complex mental health needs relating to their developmental problems, in particular challenging behaviour. Training and experience in behaviour management approaches will be essential.
