POST TITLEYOUTH OFFENDING TEAM CASE MANAGER
POST OBJECTIVES
To work together with members of the multi-agency Youth Offending Team and other relevant agencies and individuals, to deliver the Youth Justice Plan by providing high quality services to children, young people and their families aimed at preventing offending. You will be accountable to the Operational Manager.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Act as case manager and directly supervise and enforce all relevant pre court and court orders to National Standards
2.To make clear assessments in relation to risk of harm to the public, risk of re-offending and of offence related needs in order to allocate appropriate and targeted resources to the prevention of youth offending.
3.To provide reports and a court duty service to the courts to National Standards.
4.To manage or supervise relevant YOT support staff in their direct work with young offenders and their families.
5.To develop and implement programmes of work with young offenders and their families, based upon principles of effective practice and to monitor and evaluate effectiveness.
6.To work collaboratively with other agencies and organisations to enhance the work of the YOT in preventing offending.
7.To actively promote equal opportunities with full regard to the Local Authority?'s Equal Opportunities Policy
8.To contribute to appropriate adult (PACE) and office duty provision.
Candidates must be CRB checked and GSCC registered.
