Description
Our client is private provider of high quality family placements for children and young people up to the age of 18. This is an established provider south of Manchester which can offer stable placements and quality outcomes for children and young people. A full range of placements are offered through the recruitment of carers from diverse backgrounds always working in conjunction with family close to the young person. The company was awarded "good" with 2 outstanding quality rating from OFSTED.
Individual Tasks:
1. To provide support to foster carers through regular visits and telephone contact, including at least one unannounced visit each year.
2. To monitor and review the care provided by foster carers, ensuring that they provide a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for children and young people in their care.
3. To support foster carers through complaints procedures and child protection procedures.
4. To participate in the matching process when children and young people are placed with foster carers to ensure the best possible match and to identify any gaps in a match and offer support accordingly.
5. To ensure that foster carers receive all appropriate documentation regarding each child or young person placed and to ensure that foster carers keep good records and file all confidential documents in the container provided for them.
6. To ensure that foster carers are receiving the statutory support from the child or young person?'s social worker. To contact the social worker and his/her manager should there be any difficulties in this area.
Candidates should be CRB checked, GSCC registered and available to interview/ start ASAP.
