Description
PULSE Scientific are pleased to be representing a global scientific company that has a site in the Kent area. Due to increased demand for their services, they now have a requirement for a Production Technician to join their busy and diverse team.
The successful applicant will be required to prepare diagnostic products, reagents and intermediates for internal and external use, they will also perform in-process testing to assess whether these components meet set specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
·Perform molecular separations by a variety of chromatographic techniques such as LC, HPLC and FPLC.
·Evaluate the purity of samples by PAGE and other associated techniques.
·Modify proteins by chemical derivitisation following established procedures or protocols.
·Perform purification of antibodies from a variety of source raw materials.
·Perform filtrations and sterility testing.
EDUCATION, BACKGROUND AND SKILLS
·BSc or equivalent required, a Biosciences subject would be desirable.
·1-year laboratory experience is essential; experience with column chromatography would be advantageous.
·Knowledge of GMP is desirable.
