Description
Our NHS client is seeking a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work within their learning disabilities setting.
Duties include:
* Working with clients with mild, moderate or severe learning disabilities and co-morbid difficulties
* Presenting problems ranged from depression, challenging behaviour,
* Dementia assessment, cognitive assessment, bereavement/loss, parenting skills, mental health needs, interpersonal problems, abuse/assault, addictive behaviours, offending behaviour, advice sought.
* Psychometric testing e.g. IQ testing, dementia assessments, risk assessments
* Supportive, psychoanalytic therapy, CBT interventions with individual clients.
The role is either full time or part time, and will be for approximately 3-6 months.
A full CRB disclosure will be required.
