Description
This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding biotechnology company based in Oxfordshire.
As a Fermentation Scientist you will be responsible for assisting a small team in examining the application of bacterial fermentation in scientific research.
Suitable applicants must have experience with:
-Bacterial fermentation within scientific industry
-Cell culture, growth and analysis
-Running and developing the fermentation process to laboratory scale (5 litres)
-Maintenance of cell bank and cell-lines
Additional desirable skills include:
-BSc (or equivalent) in a related scientific discipline
-Experience working with asceptic techniques
-Experience with seed culture and technology transfer
This is a research position within a biotechnology company so individuals with experience only in Environmental or QC microbiology would not be suitable.
