Description
PULSE Scientific are pleased to representing a leading Biotechnology organisation in the Cambridge area. Due to continued expansion, a requirement for two Research Assistants has arisen. Working within the Development Department, you will have the following responsibilities:
Designing and conducting experiments therefore ensuring project objectives within the protein expression team are met.
Plasmid DNA scale-up and purification for routine transfections
Manipulation of DNA vectors
Utilisation of transient expression systems
Production of recombinant proteins through the construction and screening of cell-lines
These positions will require you to have have an understanding and strong knowledge of cell biology, protein expression, cell culture and molecular biology techniques. You will also be a microbiology graduate or similar and ideally you will have had exposure to analytical techniques to include ELISA.
