A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for a dynamic and innovative company,
One of Europe's leading industry support organisation for the biotechnology sector. Providing operational and marketing support. As an experienced Buyer you will be working in the field of therapeutic products and medical research.
As an experienced Buyer with experience of working in a fast-paced purchasing department. Experience of procuring scientific supplies would be a distinct advantage in this role, but not essential for the right candidate. You must be a proven negotiator, capable of influencing and convincing others in a range of complex situations.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations. You will have full commercial responsibility for sourcing a wide variety of goods and services, driving bottom-line savings for the purchasing group.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Procurement, purchasing and supply chain experience.
Relevant experience of working within tight and challenging deadlines.
Communicating with suppliers at a senior level.
Supplier management and appraisal.
Risk assessment and contingency planning.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office (in particular Excel).
Familiar with Supply Chain and materials management processes.
Working towards CIPS is desirable
