This Ward offers experience with adult CF, asthma, lung transplant & COPD. They specialise in many varied & innovative treatments for patients with respiratory illness. Patient conditions include cystic fibrosis, COPD, lung transplantation and asthma/allergy. Some patients are of high acuity with tracheostomies and non-invasive ventilation, which provides excellent experience for those interested in pursuing a critical care nursing career. The ward provides a fantastic medical and surgical base for your nursing career in a highly supportive team environment.

You will value patient centred care, teamwork and respect. You will be a high performer, customer focused, motivated & enthusiastic. You will have experience in acute care medical nursing and have an interest in evidence based practice and its implementation.

Rostering is flexible and aims to assist the balance between lifestyle and work. Opportunities can include full time, part time & unit based staffing. The unit has a self-rostering system and utilises unit-based staffing, similar to time in lieu, to promote flexible hours of work. A comprehensive orientation and preceptor program and regular in - house education programs are offered.
