Paul started his career in healthcare recruitment in 2004, and now, as Managing Director, is an influential leader with vast experience of dealing with any type of challenge.

As Head of Operational Support at Pulse, I lead a team of professionals who provide essential services and solutions to clients and candidates across the UK. I have over a decade of experience in the healthcare recruitment industry, specialising in allied health professionals and health science services.

My core competencies include recruiting, managing and training staff, ensuring quality and compliance standards, developing and implementing operational strategies, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

I am passionate about delivering the best possible outcomes for our customers, who benefit from our exclusive job vacancies, our NHS Framework agency status, and our bespoke and caring service. I am also committed to enhancing my skills and knowledge, as evidenced by my recent certifications in managing teams, prioritising effectively, and delegating tasks. Client Relationship Manager, Gary, joined Pulse in 2015. He works closely with partner clients and services across the NHS, Private and Third sectors to help deliver the right solutions to their workforce pressures. Having developed a thorough, in depth knowledge of Pulse Mental Health’s specialist divisions, Gary’s focus is to ensure we provide all of our clients with the right support, exactly when needed.

Delivering the highest level of customer service is of paramount importance to Gary and his Client Relations and Account Management teams. The aim being to develop an unprecedented understanding of our clients by providing an open forum to discuss feedback, future plans, observe service trends and potential needs, resulting in stronger working relationships and a premier service to all.

Ross has been at Pulse (formerly Maxxima) since 2014, joining as a graduate recruitment consultant on the radiography team. He has gained valuable experience in all aspects of radiography recruitment, including X-Ray, CT/MRI, nuclear medicine, mammography, ultrasound, and radiotherapy, and is now leading the team as their Divisional Manager

Kiel joined Pulse (formerly Maxxima) in October 2011 as a senior recruitment consultant. He then progressed to team manager specialising in allied health professionals. Today he leads the AHP desk as Divisional Manager and oversees the recruitment activity for dietetics, podiatry, audiology and speech therapy.

Myron joined Pulse in 2013 as a trainee recruitment consultant, working within Psychological Therapies. Over the years, he has progressed to become Sales Director of the AHP division.

Myron has built strong relationships with many key clients throughout the NHS and private services; helping him support both clients and candidates alike. He describes the most rewarding part of his role, though, as coaching and developing his team.

Nicola joined Pulse in 2008 and has taken on roles including recruitment consultant, team leader and sales manager, providing her with the knowledge and experience leading to her current position as candidate services manager.

Her years in the business, and experience in a variety of roles, has given Nicola the unparalleled market knowledge she’s known for. Nicola manages the sales support and international recruitment function within AHP.

Her focus is always on customer service; with Nicola’s support, her teams deliver an exceptional service to candidates and clients.

Starting as a recruitment consultant in 2007, Gemma has taken on a variety of roles. She moved across to compliance in 2011 and has led that team since 2017.

With experience in both sales and compliance, Gemma has a robust understanding of the full recruitment process. As part of her role, Gemma works closely with the clinical governance team and NHS frameworks to ensure each candidate’s journey through onboarding and compliance is as smooth as possible.

Jessica joined Pulse in 2014, starting in the compliance team and soon after transitioned into a recruitment role. With her wealth of knowledge of the healthcare market and excellent relationships with clients and candidates, Jessica soon paved her way to becoming the team manager for occupational therapy.

Jessica always strives for her team to be the candidate’s first choice and gets immense job satisfaction from seeing them secure their dream role.
